La Bastide du Roy, a historic gem in Antibes, is finally opening its doors to the public.
Set between the sea, remarkable gardens, and curated works of art, the estate unveils a full season of guided tours and artistic afternoons, running from April through October 2026.
A unique invitation to experience the history, beauty, and creativity that define the soul of the Bastide.

Artistic Afternoons: an immersion into creativity
The Artistic Afternoons at La Bastide du Roy were born from a simple desire: to bring the estate to life through artistic expression.
Last year, just two sessions were enough to reveal the full potential of the experience — inspired participants, artworks created on-site, and meaningful exchanges with fellow artists. The enthusiasm was undeniable, leading us to expand the program this year.
Each session offers a moment apart, where visitors are invited to wander through the gardens and draw inspiration from the beauty of the surroundings to create and express their art. Painters, sculptors, photographers, architects… all forms of artistic expression are welcome, provided the integrity of the estate is respected.
These afternoons celebrate creativity in all its forms, within the exceptional setting of the Bastide: the French Garden, the Music Garden, the Linden Grove, and the breathtaking views over the Mediterranean provide a powerful backdrop for artistic exploration.
Guided Tours: step into history and hidden stories
Our guided tours take you on a true journey through time. From the Kings of France to Jeanne Lanvin, the iconic fashion designer who shaped the estate into a unique haven — notably with the contribution of landscape architect Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier — each part of the Bastide tells its own story.
Over the decades, La Bastide du Roy has also attracted prominent figures of the international jet set. Among them, Mick Jagger, who stayed here while working on an album with The Rolling Stones. Artists, icons, and free spirits have all left their mark, giving the estate a discreet yet captivating aura.
The experience unfolds as an enriching walk where art, history, and nature intertwine, offering something both educational and poetic.
During your visit, you will:
- Discover the remarkable gardens and their symbolism: the French-style labyrinth, the Neptune sculpture, centuries-old olive trees…
- Explore the interior spaces, featuring artworks, historical furniture, and unique symbolic elements.
